Fluid the Label: The Elegance and Intentionality of 'Fight for Love' on Runway 1
The Toowoomba Fashion Festival 2026 was a celebration of thoughtful design and emerging talent, and Runway 1 shone a spotlight on the sophisticated vision of Fluid the Label. Designer Paula Duncan presented her Spring Summer 27 Collection, titled "Fight for Love," a body of work that is as elegant in its form as it is intentional in its philosophy. We are thrilled to share the highly anticipated post-event imagery from this outstanding showcase.

Fluid the Label, designed by Paula Duncan, is known as a premium contemporary independent women’s ready-to-wear and pre-order evening wear label, proudly designed and made in Australia. The brand's foundational philosophy is rooted in slow fashion practices, committing to minimising environmental impact through local production. Furthermore, they champion extended garment life by offering services such as alterations and after-sales repairs from their Gold Coast boutique and studio. This commitment to quality and responsibility resonated deeply with the conscious attendees of TFF.
The Spring Summer 27 Collection, "Fight for Love," tells a compelling story of contrast between vulnerability and resilience. It explores a harmonious balance of masculinity and femininity, light and shade. The pieces celebrate strength achieved through effortless elegance, quiet authority, and refined self-expression. This narrative was visually translated on the runway through the strategic use of sheer fabrics and the strength of tactile texture, exploring the profound "power to feel". Paula’s work is deeply thoughtful and emotionally resonant, always designed with the goal of empowering and inspiring confidence in the wearer.
Paula Duncan presented four unique looks on the runway. The designer readily engaged with the audience, taking a proud bow on stage at the close of her collection. To ensure the influential audience could follow up directly, the brand’s website was featured via a QR code displayed during the runway walk: www.fluidthelabel.com.au. This link was crucial for capturing audience interest and directing potential buyers to their pre-order options, especially since Paula noted her website was under construction but would be finished shortly after the festival.
